Hand Drawn Architectural Illustrations from Owen Pomery

A new website, Analogue Vision presents the distinctive architectural illustrations of Owen Pomery, a freelance illustrator based in London. 

The site showcases Pomery’s architectural sketches and includes a new image of Studio 425’s proposal for Greenpeace’s Airplot in the village of Sipson.

Outerspace UK nominated for Landscape Institute Award

Outerspace UK Landscape Architects have been nominated for an award by the Landscape Institute.



The nomination recognises Outerspace's work on the Ancient Market Area in Kingston-upon-Thames. Outerspace worked with animators Room60 to produce the short film 'The Spell of the Ancient Market Area', which we are pleased to present, above.

The film combines 3D modelling, historical images, bespoke hand-drawn illustrations, photography and audio recordings from Kingston's lively food market. The film describes Outerspace's design approach to refurbishing the market area and was submitted to the Royal Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames as part of an invited competition.

Studio 425 shortlisted in Protest Poster Competition

Studio 425's entry into Don't Panic's latest poster design competition has been shortlisted by public vote. The brief for the competition called for a new political slogan that worked as a sound bite, protest placard and a poster to be handed out with the Don't Panic magazine.

Studio 425 have submitted an entry into Diesel Jeans graphic design competition, organised by Don't Panic Magazine. Voting opens on the 24th May.

The Shepperton - Levi's Care to Air Product Design Competition

Studio 425 member John Inglis designed the Shepperton, for Levi's 'Care to Air' product design competition.

The brief called for a product or piece of furniture that could be used to dry clothes without the use of tumble drying, which consumes massive amounts of energy.

The Shepperton is a piece of furniture somewhere between a floor lamp and a clothes rack and provides an elegant addition to any living space. A prototype is currently under development, with a view to limited production runs in the future

Airplot Embassy for Greenpeace - Heathrow Third Runway Competition

Studio 425 members John Inglis and Ellie Redmill collaborated on the Airplot Design Contest for Greenpeace.

The Airplot is a plot of land in the village of Sipson, which was bought by Greenpeace in opposition to the third runway proposals at Heathrow. The site is directly in the path of the proposed third runway and the brief called for a fortress of opposition, from which protesters could resist eviction.

Book cover design competition for Tadeusz Borowski's 'This Way for the Gas, Ladies and Gentlemen'

I'm pleased to present Owen Pomery's book cover design for Polish author Taduesz Borowski's paperback edition of 'This way to the gas, ladies and gentlemen'. The novel is based in Borowski's experiences in the Second World War. The design has been submitted into the Venus Febriculosa competition for the latest edition.
