The event invitations, for a recent wedding, feature bespoke
illustrations of London’s Barbican Centre, which hosted the ceremony and
reception. The graphics include a landmark view of the Barbican Centre and
subtler references to the lesser known Barbican aviary and conservatory areas.
The invitation wording was kept short and simple, resulting in an understated
and personal graphic design.
The final prints for daytime invitations were produced on a heavy weight 300gsm card, adding a texture and quality to the prints. The evening invitation prints were produced on a 160gsm linen blended card. The format works well with standard DL shaped envelopes and is economical to print, with a typical A4 sheet producing 3 invitations.
